  • Date(s) Available: Some shorelines are date-specific, and others are composites of multiple dates
  • Format: Primarily ESRI shapefiles

Vector shoreline data from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and other federal agencies can be conveniently accessed and compared on the NOAA Shoreline Website. Included shorelines are:

  • NOAA National Shoreline
  • NOAA Medium Resolution Shoreline
  • NOAA Office of Coast Survey Shorelines
  • NOAA Composite Shoreline
  • U.S. Geological Survey Vector Shorelines
  • National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) World Vector Shoreline
  • NGA Prototype Global Shoreline
