Information, Tools, and Training

The social sciences are integrated into products and services representing three of the NOAA Coastal Services Center's core competencies:
- applying spatial data and other information to the management of coastal resources,
- developing and applying GIS-based tools that facilitate the use of spatial data in the management of coastal resources, and
- passing these skills on to others through formal training.
